About Feed Sam?

Feed Sam was founded in June 2019 by animal enthusiasts and Lethbridge locals, Burton and Val. The knowledge offered by Burton and Val comes from years involved in training, showing and breeding dogs. Val's additional experience as a Certified Holistic Nutritionist and their combined 35 years experience researching and feeding a Raw Diet make Feed Sam the last stop you will ever need to make for all your Raw feeding needs and nutritional questions.

Prior to opening Feed Sam a regular conversation in their house went something like "Hey did you remember to pick up dog food?" with a common response being "Nope sure didn't, I'll be right back!". For that reason they decided to utilize their years of experience to open their own pet store, offering not only great service, dedication and knowledge, but also a delivery service. The Feed Sam delivery service not only offers a one time purchase option but also the ability to set your delivery to a recur on a schedule that best suits your life..."set it and forget it", no more running out!

One-Time Delivery FAQ's

Yes, Feed Sam applies Sam Bucks of between 2% and 10% to all of your purchases which can be used for future purchases. In addition, Feed Sam uses your account to track your purchases for Manufacturer Loyalty programs (your free bags).
However if you would like to receive a delivery and would prefer not to have your information collected please contact the store and we can arrange for this over the phone.
Odds are if you have been to any of our Feed Sam retail locations you will have an account. Simply go to the Log-In page and select forgot password. You will then receive an email prompting you to set a new password…that is it you now have access to your account and your entire Feed Sam purchasing history.
If our system does not recognize your email, try a different email that you use and perhaps that is the one attached to your account.
Feed Sam has no delivery fee on any sale value.
Feed Sam approves all one-time purchases prior to processing. Usually the charge is completed with 12 hours, this way you are never charged for the purchase of a product if we do not have the stock.
No problem…you simply place your supplied nondescript bin outside and we will secure your product in this bin. These bins will protect your product from the weather and any marauding neighborhood pets and pests.
Absolutely! We will take most products back for any reason. Simply return the unused portion to your most convenient store location (or call and we will pick it up) and we would be happy to help you find something which may be more suitable. (No more than 50% of product can be consumed.)(Raw product cannot be returned for any reason)
You can choose which day of the week works best for your delivery. We deliver every week Monday – Saturday, excluding a few stat holidays.
If after setting up your delivery day life happens and you’re not able to make that day work (please remember you don’t actually need to be home when we arrive), please call your local store so we can make other arrangements.
Your product will be delivered in a nondescript bin with your first delivery. Please keep this bin and on all subsequent deliveries simply place it out on your delivery day and we will refill if for you. Our bins will keep other pets and pests out, as well as keeping mother nature from destroying your product with rain and snow.
If this is your first Feed Sam delivery, we will provide a bin, however if this is a subsequent delivery and your bin is not in your designated location. Our drivers will place your product in a new bin, however if you do not place the replacement bin out for pick up on your next delivery a fee of $20.00 will be applied to your account.
We do offer and deliver Raw Frozen Food. All of these deliveries are scheduled late in the day and if the weather requires it we will deliver this product with freezer packs, however we do recommend that you have someone at home on your delivery day by 5 PM to ensure the product is not left out. If you are not able to be home we recommend that you place a cooler out in place of the standard bin to help keep product frozen.
You will receive 1 free bag after purchasing 12 on most products (this varies manufacturer to manufacturer). This is a Manufacturers loyalty program and is offered in addition to the Feed Sam loyalty program (Sam Bucks).
You will receive between 10% and 2% back in "Sam Bucks" on all of your online and in-store purchases. You do not need to accumulate any minimums before you begin spending your Sam Bucks and this is not a point system, 1 Sam Buck is worth $1.00. Sam Bucks can be used to purchase anything we offer either in-store or online
Feed Sam offers a full warranty for the value of any product left at your delivery location, providing we receive notice within 24 hours by phone. If your delivery is missing products you must notify Feed Sam within 24 hours by phone, in which case any missing product will be delivered to you within 24 hours of notification of missing items.
You can change your order by contacting your local store, prior to your CC being processed, however many times we are able to accommodate any change for you even after the CC has been processed.

If for any reason the processing is declined every effort will be made to contact you prior to your delivery. If we are not able to contact you prior to delivery your order will be held until we are able to do so.

Your delivery will run until you decide to cancel. This means your delivery could be a month or it could be for 10 years…YOU DECIDE! No hassle online cancelation needs to be done prior to your CC being billed.

You can choose your initial delivery day. All subsequent deliveries will happen on that same day (on which ever frequency you choose), however you can go into your account and change the day you would like to receive future deliveries on (or you can change the day for every delivery.
We advise that you start your frequency more often that you may think you are going to be using the service, then after a few months if you are sure you could extend out an extra week you can always change your frequency. You are able to make changes to your account right up till your CC has been charged. This includes your products as well as your frequency.
You can change your order in your account area in several ways.
  • You can make a one time change to your next order. (Fido usually gets chicken, however you feel like spoiling Fido so you decide to treat him with Salmon).
  • You can change all future orders. (Fido has gotten a little older and you would like to change all future orders from chicken to a senior diet).
  • You can add to your current order. (Fido has a new little friend named Fluffy and you now need to add Cat Food and Litter to your subscription).
  • You can make a one time purchase between recurring deliveries.
